Beginning Ceramic Wheel – 4-Week Class

Ready to dive into the pottery wheel? This 4-week class is designed for absolute beginners and those looking to refresh their skills. Over the course of four sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing—from centering clay to creating functional forms like cups, bowls, and small vases.

Each week builds on the last, giving you plenty of time to practice and grow your confidence on the wheel. Elissa will provide step-by-step instruction and individualized support in a relaxed, encouraging environment.

What’s included:

  • Weekly 2-hour sessions (total of 4 classes)

  • All materials: clay, tools, glaze, and kiln firing

  • Instruction from a professional ceramic artist

  • A cozy, creative studio space on the farm

  • Friendly animals nearby to visit before or after class

Join us for a hands-on art adventure at Three Barn Acres, where young artists (and the young at heart!) will explore different art materials, meet our friendly farm animals, and create their own mini menagerie to take home.

We’ll start the morning by learning about a variety of art mediums, then head outside to sketch some of our resident animals using different drawing tools. Afterward, we’ll head into the studio to sculpt clay animals inspired by your sketches—perfect for decorating a potted plant, desk, or special shelf.

What’s included:
