About

Elissa is an artist, mother, amateur gardener, and hobby farmer.

My artwork is inspired by surrounding landscapes, engaging with themes of memories and place. I aim to mimic the beauty I see in nature in my artwork to create a sense of permanence in something fleeting. I work with the forms and patterns found in nature and the idiosyncrasies and irregularities caused by decay, wilt, and dormancy.

Elissa lives in beautiful NE Iowa with her husband Andrew and four children Annaliese, Juliet, Cormac, and Dashel.
